This is a few weeks late, but oh well.
There was, I have heard, a website called Cohost that shut down recently. I never used it myself, so I can’t tell you anything about it.
What is remarkable about it to me is that I have heard quite a lot about it shutting down. Multiple blogs have come across my feeds, and more posts on Mastodon and the like. A lot of people loved it dearly from what I can tell.
Yet I never heard much about it while it was up and running. I’m not surprised that there are sites and communities I have never heard of. I have found that even relatively small spaces have corners you have never seen. What does surprise me is that I have brushed up against it this closely without seeing it. Until it was too late, of course.
Well, I hope everyone had fun there, and that everyone finds new fun places to be on this wild, wild internet.
