Replying to: My Beary First AnniversaryI have seen a couple of people celebrating the anniversaries of their blogs in the last few weeks. Jedda was one. I could have sworn that I saw one or two others, but I can’t seem to find them in my feed reader.
I decided I had better check when I started blogging. By a lovely coincedence, it wasn’t too far off: June 15th, 2023, with this post about a park bench. I do still like that post a lot.
Back then, my blog was exclusively a gemini capsule . I still don’t post regularly and don’t ever plan to, but back then I was even more sporadic. I have only 4 posts from that entire year.
In 2024 I picked up the pace more, and I would say that I started blogging in earnest in August of last year when I stumbled across the Blaugust event. There’s nothing really wrong with blogging by yourself, but it does get lonely. Blogging with other people is not only much more fun, but much more inspiring . I’ve had a sense of momentum that has more or less continued since then.
Here’s to another year of blogging! Here’s to ten more!
