Indecision

Ideas are cheap and common. But they are also slippery. The first challenge of creativity is not so much coming up with ideas, as it is catching them before they go out of your brain. If you can do that, you encounter the second challenge: ideas start piling up faster than you can do anything with them. Hard decisions must be made.

I have six or seven drafts going in my blog post folder right now. And I have a bit of time to write today. So it’s a hard question: which one? Or rather, which one first. The goal is to publish all of them eventually, of course. There’s not even any deadlines to help me.

The sensible thing, since there’s no prioritization here is just to pick one arbitrarily. Roll a die or shuffle some cards or just go in alphabetical order of the file names. It doesn’t really matter.

But I have a better idea. And by better I mean cheekier.

I am opening a new document entirely and writing this post. :P
