This was inspired by a conversation I had on Discord the other day.
The world is a rough place. Life is hard. Things are not okay. I won’t go into specifics. I’m sure you can fill in your own without much trouble—that’s my point, really. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, as they say.
But it is too easy to forget that there are good things in the world. It is too easy to even disdain them as distractions from the important problems. This is wrong.
There are sunshine and rainbows in the world, and they are precious. They need to be appreciated as such.
