Do you floss your teeth?

I actually do floss every night. Really, ask my dentist. Most of the time it doesn’t get that much gunk out, but I’ve been eating a lot of popcorn lately, and that sure makes flossing a necessity.

Tea, coffee, or water?

Coffee first thing in the morning every morning. But only one cup, maybe two. Then it’s water for the rest of the day. I do love water, it’s my main drink. Tea is fine. I drink a cup every now and then to switch things up. But it just doesn’t have the same interest to me that coffee does.

Footwear preference?

It’s taken a while, but I’ve finally got my size dialed in with a shoe that’s readily available and reasonably priced. I wear New Balance model 608 in size 12 extra wide. It’s really that extra wide sizing that keeps me coming back to them. That’s hard to find in a lot of other shoes.

Favorite dessert?

I’m absolutely hopeless when it comes to picking favorites. That being said, a good cheesecake is a glorious thing. Only once in a while, though. Some things are better when they stay a rare treat.

The first thing you do when you wake up?

I’d love to say that it’s not check my phone. But… I check my phone. Usually Discord first, then other socials and email.

Age you’d like to stick to?

Mid twenties is certainly the easy answer, at least in physical terms. But while I’m past that, I’m not that much far past that. Splitting the difference would be best, I suppose. The body of a twenty year old, and the CV and income of a forty five year old. Who doesn’t want that? Someone, I’m sure. I’m old enough to have seen that no matter what it is, there is someone who wants it and someone who doesn’t. There’s a lot of people in the world, with many, many different thoughts and desires and experiences. But to actually answer the question, let’s just say twenty five. It wasn’t an especially good year for me, but neither was it an especially bad one.

How many hats do you own?

A couple. Let me go count. Three baseball caps, one flat cap, and two beanies, one of which my sister knitted for me as a birthday present. So that’s six total. Mostly I wear the baseball caps. The one my sister made for me is too warm to wear in anything but the coldest weather in my area.

Describe the last photo you took

I took a picture of a postcard a friend sent me to show him that it had arrived. It’s from the Vatican and depicts the Creation of Adam from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

Worst TV show

Fallout. Not because it’s a bad show. I just don’t watch much TV—I haven’t for many years—and that is just the last TV show that I definitely remember watching. That makes it worst by default. Also the best and averagest.

As a child, what was you aspiration for adulthood?

I don’t remember exactly when I first watched Spy Kids, but I was enamored. Of course, now that I’ve grown up and have read a couple of books about spies (both fiction and non) and I’ve realized that espionage isn’t actually about all the fancy gadgets. Also it’s dangerous and I’d be bad at it. My current aspiration is being a software developer. That seems both safer and more achievable.
