Thirty One

The end of Blaugust has come (already!)(finally!)

That was a fun challenge. This year I decided to go for the full 31 posts in 31 days. Here at the end of the month I’ve really been panting to keep the posts coming. But pushing yourself every now and then is a good thing. It lets you see what you’re capable of.

I don’t know if I’ll do the full challenge again next year. I have satisfied myself that I can, and that may be enough.

I can proudly look back on 31 whole posts this month. Well, I don’t know if I ’m proud of all of them for what they say. There’s some rough work in there. But I am proud to have gotten them all done—and I am proud of all my fellow “Blaugustans” who have blogged along with me, whether it was for all thirty one days, or just one.

Things started off well. I had plans, things were prewritten. It didn’t last, alas , and I spent the last half of the month winging it. Clearly that is doable, but over time it started to feel like homework. Even so, it’s been fun.

Reading everyone else’s blogs has been a big part of the fun. I’d link some but I don’t have enough time before I need to get this post finished.

I am ready for the end of the month now, but I find myself unsure just how to end this post. Maybe that’s fitting. The way I write here—none of these posts are essays or articles. They’re not finished and closed off things. It’s all an accumulation of thoughts and words and days.
